SEEDS OF
FRIENDSHIP 2008
Garden
Clubs of Ohio Are once again invited to participate in Seeds of
Friendship, a program designed by "Partners In Conservation" at the
Columbus Zoo. The program's objective is to assist the courageous
people to Rwanda who suffered greatly in 1994 when more than 1,000,000
men, women and children were killed during the genocide. The seeds you
purchase will be given to Dr. Charlene Jendry form Partners in
Conservation. She will take the seeds to Rwanda in June and will
personally distribute the Seeds to Rwanda families who live in villages
near the gorilla habitats and to the Imbabazi Orphanage. The seeds will
help provide fresh produce for the 115 children who live at the
orphanage.
